About Me

My photo
As of 2/22 I weigh 152 pounds. I'm hoping that eventually sooner rather than later I will get my shrinking but back down to 120 lbs.

Stepping it up a notch will hopefully help me take it in a notch.

Okay, so I'm drawing inspiration from Julie and Julia (of course a movie about food). I am hoping that having something to report to every night will keep me on track with a diet, and hopefully (fingers crossed) this will help me get back to my old skinny self. Since I'll probably force everyone I know to read this (more incentive) I will try to give something back each night. What? As of right now I have no clue, but hopefully a place where my colleagues at the belly burning factory can get tips, and encouragement to get back into youthful shape.
So following suit with the legions of people trying to lose weight, I will let you know my daily routine in my currently losing battle. I am 25 and in less than five years I have tripled my pant size. Like almost everyone who gains weight over the years, I look back and can't find that point where I started gaining. I know why, I'm getting older, and I still eat like I'm sixteen and (well move in general) exercise often. Have you ever noticed how teenage girls are so... bouncy, they run everywhere, whether it's two feet or two miles, then when they stop they hop in place, or dance, or laugh. Can you imagine how many calories they are burning just by being happy? But since most normal adults would look at you like you were insane if you did that and didn't have pimples or braces, we as adults have try to use all that natural energy (at this point natural energy seems like a mystical land far far away) through a different medium. I am so sick of reading weight loss articles in women's magazines that say to do housework to lose weight, so yes you do burn more calories than if you were just sitting around watching your husband do the work, but it sucks! So what have I found to burn calories? For the past couple of months I have been going to the gym, and doing random exercises. I have been doing a class, running, using the elyptical, and doing light weight training. I take the Insanity class because I feel the most results the day after the class, I LOVE to run on the treadmill when I have some good music playing and I can just focus on the sounds blaring in my headphones. So I have been doing all these things for the past two months, and I have lost a total of.......... 0 pounds! I am so dissapointed. So desparate times call for desparate measures. I am going to be like the millions before me and whine to the general public about my weight in hopes that airing out my oversized dirty laundry will motivate me to suck it up...  and suck in my tummy.
